We haven't been "meh" in the league this season - that implies mediocrity, 11th - 14th.

We've been utter dross for 18 months and just scraped to 40 points in the last few matches.

More importantly who was the bloke who got *kicked unconscious after the game whilst on the floor?

@daveyg

I am Moyes out and have been for some while. I'm just pointing out that to the neutral observer sacking a manager for what is potentially 3 years of Euro competition, a Trophy and two top 7 league finishes would seem a tad harsh. I think that is the view the club are going to take, like it or not

You are also right though, it does not tell the entire story. We have spent considerable amounts of money and still managed to lose most of our games. The football and how we set up not to lose has been painful to watch as a spectacle at times and that in itself is criminal. We could easily have gone down and won nothing this year.
We are going to spend a lot of money again this year and I do worry for us if we kick off next season like we did last.

We didn’t lose to Southampton.

To actually lose over half your games is deplorable, Moyes should be ashamed. he's probably got away with it though by beating joke sides in a second rate competition.

W e've lost twice to leicester, and once to everton & southampton, forest and wolves

meanwhile little old brentford, with a game plan that is as basic as a year six teachers whiteboard , have taken 21 points out of 12 games v city, newcastle. brighton, arsenal and man united

no he doesn't.
the worst football and tactic's i've seen in a league season.(it's been 18 months now ) We won't get a player like Rice in a long, long time any youngsters who are any good will go elsewhere. Moyes has got lucky twice in Europe, this season, though I will be celebrating us win it like mad, this competition is the easiest ever to win in any season. Dare he set us up to be the underdog and we'll lose. His tactics against a mediocre AZ team was ludicrous, it just worked.
No more. There's plenty of managers that could have kept us up and got to this final.

I was trying to work out if Downes can't pass more than 10 yards or if it is a Moyes instruction that he gives it to the skipper every time he gets it. Several times he had an opportunity for a through ball or to play it 30 yards out wide and every time took the easier negative option. He is tidy enough but we are in trouble if our midfield two is him and Soucek next season!

If moyes plan was to make a poor Leicester team look good then he succeeded, yet another clueless performance. Without Rice and with moyes we will be one of the favorites for relegation next season, just hope one of the clowns in the boardroom recognises that and does something about it.

We’ve gone from spending £150m last summer, to £180m, then £200m. Now I’m hearing it’s a quarter of a billion pounds. Any advance on a quarter of a billion?

Spot on Fraser Statto.
We were shit for large parts of the game yesterday but could have got something out of it if Ings didn't miss an open goal. What a terrible signing he’s proved to be especially given the contract he is on.
We all know Moyes will stay next season - hopefully Luton and Sheffield Utd will be cannon fodder and occupy the bottom spots (although they will obviously turn us over away)
Lets hope some tea towel rag buys us and fucks off Sullivan and Moyes.

Didn't see the game, but fuck me what an absolute shit fest of a league season 20 defeats from 38 games

Exactly that, clear elbow in the back to Antonio; nothing given! Down the other end same thing: free kick!

Mind you I think we wouldn’t have conceded if Zouma and Oggy had been the CBs

Re: ⚽ Leicester v West Ham - Official Match Thread - Preview
Biggest question from this game is: if the soft foul on Antonio a few minutes before the soft foul which led to their second wasn't worth a kick, why was the soft foul which led to their second worth one?

What constitutes a foul in the penalty area is exactly the same as what constitutes one outside, it's only the punishment that differs.

we've lost twenty league games this season after investing just under a quarter of a billion pounds (transfer/agent fees), and the football has been abysmal in almost every fucking game. no, he has no point. only morons would want another season of his football

Can't believe some of the moaning on here today. We're in our first European final in 47 years in 10 days time. Do you expect any players to be risking injury in what was really a nothing game for us? Leicester knew that if they left a foot in here and there we might think twice about risking injury. Even Rice was subdued, especially after Soumare led with his studs (and should have been booked).

Twoleftfeet has a point

Two seasons in top 7
This season meh in league but Euro trophy (maybe)
Next season in Europa (maybe)

Best consecutive 3 seasons in living memory

You have to weigh it against some really poor football at times, but when you look at it against our recent history it’s pretty damn good!
